I am an experienced market research professional and have helped clients in many different markets, using a range of qualitative and quantitative techniques, to prompt creative thinking and advance their businesses.

After graduating in Philosophy and Psychology, I worked for the Harris Research Centre, running the Harris Poll (in a year when the election predictions from Harris were closer than any others!) and thereafter in the Media Research team. I then moved on to set up my own company which specialised in financial, social, IT and media research and have experience of working with clients such as the British Heart Foundation, Deloitte Touche, HP, RBS and West Sussex County Council. As an associate of Hyde Marketing, I work with small and medium growing businesses - whether that’s to help them understand how their clients see them, evaluate where they are benchmarked against their competitors or sometimes to anticipate changes in the market and new opportunities to grow their business.

Market research is very absorbing, as I learn such a lot in the course of my work, but other interests include music of all types, bell-ringing, motor-racing (only as a spectator) and gardening.
